It’s Ladies Day at Aintree, so expect the usual glam and glitz galore with thrilling day of racing to boot!

The opening race today is the 1.45 Merseyside Rail Handicap Hurdle. Jonjo O’Neills’ Tedham is topping the betting at 7/2* after showing great ability in three two- mile novices hurdles at the start of the Winter. He finished 2nd to Getaway Trump in December which earned him a BHA rating of 125. At Wincanton in January, he beat Tight Call in the 2mile and five and a half furlong by a length and three quarters margin so even with a 6lb gain in weight, he is in a great position to take his first title at Aintree. Place your Bet HERE
Ruby Walsh rides the favourite, Willie Mullin’s trained Aramon in the 2.20pm Top Novices Hurdle. Aramon finished 6th in the Supreme at Cheltenham behind Itchy Feet and Felix Desjy but this tight track is right up this Grade 1 winners street. Place your Bet HERE

Topofthegame is the favourite in the Novices Steeple Chase at 2.50pm. Trained by Paul Nicholls , he produced his best performance to date last month when he beat Santini in the RSA Novices Chase and Nicholls likened him to Denman, the fantastic winner of the 2008 Cheltenham Gold Cup winner. Place your Bet HERE
In the 3.25pm JLT Chase, Politologue returns to challenge for the title two years in a row with Min challenging him again, however the Paul Nicholls trained Politologue was well in front in of him at Cheltenham and most the time runs better than him. The surprise favourite in this race is Waiting Patiently who is pegged to outdo Politologue, after he took for him by two lengths in a race won by the Cyrname at Ascot recently. If he wins this race then his name will be so apt. Place your bet HERE
Next up is the 4.05pm Steeple Chase with Call it Magic leading the betting at 5/1* in a packed field. He stood out when he jumped beautifully over these fearsome fences during the Becher in December but his stamina let him down in run in and he finished fourth but with his prep for this at Fairyhouse last month, he could go all the way today. Janika is 6/1 thanks to his two 2nd place finshes at Cheltenham last month. His best here effort came when second in the Festival Plate last time where he finished strongly up the hill. Place your Bet HERE
In the 4.40pm Novices Hurdle, Nicky Herderson’s Champ is the fav at 11/4*. He finished 2nd behind City Island in the Ballymore at Cheltenham last month. It was an excellent finish for him and this step up in distance should be no problem for the seven year old. He had two wins at Newbury so he will thoroughly enjoy this fast track. His main challenger is Emitom who has won national hunt flat races at Warwick and Ascot and also a jumps meeting at Ffos Las. Place your Bet HERE
In the closing race of the day, 5.40pm Paul Nicholls’ McFabulous tops the betting at 2/1*. He won at Chepstow last October but had a disappointing 7th place finish at Cheltenham in November. Last month at Newbury he beat off form Ditcheat, but still it signals a return to form. Another contender is Santa Rossa, this unbeaten mare trained by Dermot McLoughlin has impressed in winning two strong bumpers in Ireland, and might be underestimated in the market as she is from a small yard. Place your Bet HERE
