As you all know the Cheltenham Festival finally gets underway today and we are in for a wet and windy few days, but mud lovers and strong stayers are likely to prevail in these adverse conditions.
In today’s opening race, Dai Walters’ contenders, Angels Breath and Al Dancer are heavily tipped however the lethal combination of Ruby Walsh on Mullin’s Klassical could be the dark horse of the Supreme Novices Hurdle. Bet HERE
The Arkle goes to post at 2.10pm with Glen Forsa the favourite since Le Richebourg withdrew through injury. It is certainly fair to say that this is a sub-standard renewal, with the highest rated horse in at 153. However, the top eight horses in the betting are separated by only 6lb, so it really is anyone’s race. Bet HERE
In the Ultima Champion Chase, Mister Whitaker and Willie Mullins’ Up for Review top the betting at 8/1 but don’t discount the former favourite, Paul Nicholls’ Give Me A Copper. Bet HERE
Today’s Headliner is the Champion Chase at 3.30pm sees Buveur D’Air returning hoping to complete a hattrick but he will face stiff competition from Gordon Elliots Apple Jade who has been in stunning form this season. Bet HERE
In the Mare’s Hurdle at 4.10pm, Willie Mullin’s Benie Des Dieux is hotly tipped at 11/10 to romp home but stablemate Limini is in with a shot too. Harry Skelton’s Roksana is up there aswell. Bet HERE
The hotly contested Close Brothers Novices’ Handicap Chase at 4.50pm, A Plus Tard is topping the betting at 13/2- has some very smart novice form but don’t discount Gordon Elliots Cubomania. Bet HERE
The closing race of Champions Day at Cheltenham see’s eighteen horses go head to head in the National Hunt Steeple chase. Willie Mullin’s Ballyward is currently the fav at 11/4 but don’t rule out Nicky Henderson’s OK Corral or Discorama. Bet HERE
